C block Zoology - Week of 9/26

This week, we will study the phylum Platyhelminthes (flatworms). This includes a guided reading assignment, a study guide, and a lab with live planaria in which students will study the regenerative capabilities of the flatworms. Before the lab, students will observe the planaria in action under microscopes.

This week in Zoology, we will look at the Phylum, Porifera (sponges). This will include a student-centered profile of sponges, some teacher driven notes, a coloring activity, a study guide, and a test early next week.

C block Zoology - Week of 9/12

C BLOCK Zoology, week of 9/12

This week in Zoology, we will conclude our study of Cnidarians. Students will have a study guide. We will review in class tomorrow and test Wednesday.
Thursday, we will start our unit on flatworms which will include a lab with live animals.

3RD PERIOD ZOOLOGY - Week of 9/12
This week in Zoology, we will conclude our study of protozoa. Students have a study guide with the topics to be covered on the test which they will take on Wednesday.
Tomorrow, we will use the microscopes again to view and draw protozoans (both preserved and live).
On Thursday, we will start our unit on Porifera (sponges).
